PRES120
Desktop application for calculating the constants
of overhead transmission lines and cables
Line Constants computes the self
positive-sequence impedance and
the self and mutual zero sequence
impedances of overhead transmission
lines based on conductor and tower data.
Overhead transmission lines (OL)
PRES120 considers equivalents:
- OL any supports configurations, i.e. On the supports can be ANY number
of chains and cables. This is most relevant now, because on the same tower,
lines of different voltage classes can be suspended.
- OL in combination
with various earthing modes of lightning-proof cables (isolated from the ground
or connected through surge arresters grounded at one point, grounded at two or
more points).
- OL having mutual induction with any number of parallel overhead lines.
- OL, in which the distances between the parallel at the beginning and end
of the site are different.
Line Constants computes the self
positive-sequence impedance and
the self and mutual zero sequence
impedances of cable transmission
lines based on cable designs data.
Cable transmission lines (CL)
PRES120 considers equivalents:
- CL Any voltage class (from 0.4 kV and higher).
- CL Having one, three conductors, three cores and a neutral conductor.
- CL With the presence or absence of shield / cable
cover.
- CL With any type of insulation, including XLPE.
- CL With any screen grounding mode (grounding in one or
two points, no grounding).
- CL With neutral wire and whether this wire is grounded
or not.
- CL Taking into account the presence / absence of
transposition of screens.
- CL For round or segmented conductors.
- CL With any number of parallel cable lines.
- CL With any arrangement of veins in space
